Telegram Integration
Run OpenClaw from Telegram
Create a Telegram bot, connect it once, and talk to your assistant where you already are. Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp are coming soon.
Simple setup
You don’t need a server. BotFather gives you a token, you paste it, and you’re connected.
Token validation
We validate the token with Telegram during onboarding to catch common mistakes early.
More channels soon
Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp integrations are coming soon.
Quick guide
Connect Telegram in 3 steps
- In Telegram, search for @BotFather and start a chat.
- Send /newbot and follow the prompts. BotFather will give you a token.
- In Command Claw setup, paste the token and click Connect.
Common issues
- Accidentally pasting the bot username instead of the token.
- Extra spaces before or after the token.
- Using an old token after regenerating it.
Security tip
Treat your Telegram bot token like a password. If you ever leak it, rotate it in BotFather and update it in Command Claw.
